Migrantsbook is a community platform designed to connect and support individuals within the Myanmar migrant community in Thailand. We provide a space for users to share information, offer and find services, and build a network of mutual support.

• Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old to use Migrantsbook. If you are a minor in your country, you may need parental permission.
• Account Information: You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and keep it updated.
• Account Security: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use.
• User Content: You are solely responsible for any content you post, including listings, messages, reviews, and other information. You own this content, but by posting it, you grant us a license to display and distribute it on the platform.
• Account Deletion: You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us.

As outlined in our Community Principles, we are committed to a safe community built on trust, dignity, and mutual support. By using Migrantsbook, you agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse any person or group.
• Post hate speech or discriminatory content.
• Post spam, impersonate others, or engage in any illegal activity.
• Share the personal or private information of others without their permission.
• Post or share pornography or other inappropriate sexual content.
• Use the platform for commercial solicitation or advertising without our permission.
• Upload content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.

We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules or harm the community.

• No Warranty: The platform is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, regarding its operation or the accuracy of any content.
• Service Interruption: We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend the service for maintenance or updates, and we are not liable for downtime outside our reasonable control.
• Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Migrantsbook and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including disputes, loss of data, or any transactions conducted through the platform.

Service Description: The Emergency SOS feature allows you to send an instant emergency alert, including your live GPS location, to Myanmar Worker Connect platform administrators and welfare support staff by holding the SOS button for 3 seconds. The alert is delivered through the platform's internal notification system to designated administrators and partner NGO welfare staff.

Not a Substitute for Emergency Services: The Emergency SOS feature is not a substitute for calling local emergency services. It is a supplementary notification tool only. In any situation of immediate danger, you must always call your local emergency number directly — 191 (Thailand) or 999 (Myanmar) — first, before or in addition to using the SOS button. The platform does not dispatch police, ambulance, fire, or any government emergency service.

No Guarantee of Response: Myanmar Worker Connect does not guarantee that any administrator or welfare staff member will receive, read, or respond to your SOS alert within any specific timeframe. Response depends on staff availability, network connectivity, device battery, and GPS accuracy. The service is provided on an "as-is" basis without warranty of any kind.

Location Accuracy & Limitations: Your GPS location is captured by your device at the moment you trigger the alert. Location accuracy depends on your device's GPS hardware, signal availability, and whether location services are enabled. If location cannot be determined, the alert will be sent without coordinates. We are not liable for any inaccuracy or unavailability of location data.

Consent to Share Location: By using the Emergency SOS feature, you consent to your live GPS location being shared with platform administrators and partner welfare support staff for the purpose of providing assistance. Your location is used solely for responding to your emergency alert and is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Myanmar Worker Connect and its administrators, staff, and NGO partners shall not be liable for any harm, loss, or damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Emergency SOS feature, including any delay or failure in receiving or responding to an alert.

Acceptance: Holding the SOS button for 3 seconds constitutes your acceptance of this EULA and disclaimer.

We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. If you believe that any content on Migrantsbook infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, you may submit a takedown request to our designated copyright agent.

• Your full name, contact information, and physical or electronic signature.
• Identification of the copyrighted work or intellectual property you believe has been infringed.
• The exact URL or location on Migrantsbook of the allegedly infringing material, with enough detail for us to locate it.
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the rights-holder, the law, or the platform.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights-holder or authorized to act on their behalf.

Upon receiving a valid notice, we will review the report and may remove or disable access to the infringing material. We may also terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. We will process requests in accordance with applicable laws and may contact you for additional information if needed.

Counter-notification: If your content was removed and you believe it was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification to the same email with your contact details, identification of the removed material, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake or misidentification.

You may not frame, embed, mirror, or display any part of Migrantsbook — including our pages, content, or features — within another website, application, or service by any means (including iframes, scripts, or similar technologies) without our prior written permission.

• You may not present Migrantsbook in a way that implies affiliation, endorsement, or partnership with us where none exists.
• You may not use our trademarks, logos, or branding to suggest such an association.
• You may not deep-link, scrape, or otherwise access our content for the purpose of displaying it on another platform.

We reserve the right to revoke any linking or embedding permission at any time and to take technical or legal action against unauthorized framing or embedding of our platform.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated terms on this page or through the platform.

Your continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
