The governments of Myanmar and Thailand have signed a new bilateral labor agreement aimed at better protecting Myanmar migrant workers in Thailand. The agreement includes provisions for minimum wage guarantees, safe working conditions, and improved repatriation procedures. Under the new agreement, Myanmar workers will receive: - Guaranteed minimum wage of 12,000 THB per month - Access to Thailand's social security system - Free legal assistance for rights violations - Streamlined documentation processes The agreement is expected to benefit over 2 million Myanmar workers currently employed in Thailand.
